Setting Up Stakes

1. Join a monthly Cave Squad cycle
2. Commit to specific tasks to complete
3. Place financial stakes OR set reward goals
4. Squad holds you accountable throughout the month

Types of Stakes

Financial Penalties

• Pledge money that you'll lose if you don't complete tasks
• Amount is meaningful enough to motivate
• Money goes to charity or cause you oppose
• Creates strong aversion to failure

Reward-Based

• Set positive rewards for task completion
• Earn the right to buy/do something you want
• No permission to reward without completion
• Creates positive motivation
